Vangent Appoints John Alfano as Vice President of Civilian Operations

Alfano Brings More Than 25 Years of Demonstrated IT Consulting Leadership to Support Vangent’s Civilian Sector Growth

Arlington, VA, July 21, 2008 - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, has appointed John Alfano as vice president of Civilian Operations. Alfano brings more than 25 years of experience to Vangent, including a successful track record directing growth at Keane Federal Systems, Inc. and serving Federal civilian agencies.

As vice president of Civilian Operations, Alfano is responsible for leading the organization’s civilian agency strategy, management, and growth. Prior to joining Vangent, Alfano served as vice president of Keane Federal Systems, Inc., where he led a 750-person business and technology consulting organization focused on the Federal market.

Under Alfano’s direction Keane Federal Systems, Inc. grew to $125 million annually and achieved a repeat customer rate of more than 90 percent. Prior to assuming the role of vice president in 2005, Alfano held a series of management positions during his 19 years with Keane Federal Systems, Inc. Previously, Alfano served as a project manager for state and local, and Federal contracts at RJO Enterprises, Inc.

Alfano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Kansas State University.
