Vangent Appoints Carlo Uchello as Vice President of Education Services
Accomplished Executive Brings More Than 25 Years of Federal Government Information Technology Consulting and Leadership Experience to Vangent’s Education Services
Arlington, VA, July 21, 2008 - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, has appointed Carlo Uchello as vice president of Education Services. Uchello brings to Vangent more than 25 years of civilian agency information technology leadership experience. As vice president of Vangent’s Education Services, Uchello is responsible for shaping the organization’s education strategy and guiding continued growth.

Prior to joining Vangent, Uchello served as senior director of Civilian Programs for General Dynamics Information Technology. In that role, Uchello streamlined business processes to improve agility and responsiveness to clients and evolving market requirements.
Additionally, Uchello increased the civilian group’s revenue stream tenfold to more than $65 million.
Additionally, Uchello also held senior management and consulting positions at Accenture; High Performance Technologies, Inc.; and InfoZen. Uchello holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana.
Vangent is a major contractor to the U.S. Department of Education and has developed student financial aid systems for the Department since 1983. The company processes some 14 million Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually and determines eligibility for the Department’s $83 billion federal student aid programs.
